How many computers can I put DMG Canvas on?

You may put DMG Canvas on your primary and secondary computers (a desktop and a laptop for example), as long as you are the only person using DMG Canvas on both machines, otherwise you will need one license for each computer. This is intended to be flexible and fair. When multiple parties are utilizing the dmgcanvas command line tool within a build workflow (for example, "dedicated build machines"), a separate license is needed for each build machine.

Design View Improvements New!

  • View all background layout objects (text and images) in the sidebar.
  • Files hidden from Finder are hidden in the design view and shown in the sidebar.
  • Improved handling of images for Retina-ready design.
  • Updated design view metrics for accurate display of appearance in macOS 13.

Building New!

  • Uses the new Apple service for notarization.

In late 2023 Apple disabled their notarization service that was used in DMG Canvas 3. Notarization now requires DMG Canvas 4 to use Apple's new notarization service.
